"Aha" Moment
I'm still waiting to experience this with some of the students I see at school when it comes to changing health habits for the better. I'm still waiting to experience this with some adults as well. Many times I am asked for advice, but I keep waiting for those who ask to take me up on what I suggest. Maybe someday soon someone will take what I have to say at heart and when they really understand what I am talking about, they will experience that "aha" feeling.

I understand how you feel Debbie. We don't get to spend much time with a specific group of students. We spread our teaching over a wide population and hope that something sinks in. Just keep on plugging away they are listening.

Like any advice we give its up to the person receiving it to decide if they are going to use it or not. My first graders are always choosing to try their own way rather than mine. You'd think when it didn't turn out the way they wanted that they would remember the next time I suggested something. Oh, well they are only six.
